Why We Really Love Strength Training Goes Beyond the Bar

Weight training, or any type of training for that matter, is a great way to stay physically fit and healthy. You start to fit into the clothes you have always wanted to wear, going to the beach starts to become a lot more fun to go to, and all around living start’s to get better physically, especially if you have bad joints. With that being said, how many of your start to feel better mentally? How many times do you start to feel like you can accomplish anything? Bigger one is, how many times do you start to feel like this, then start to go back to your old way of thinking before right after you leave then gym? Time to start taking advantage and grow. 


Don't Lose Sight


It's all starts inside our mind. Weight training is all about breaking through mental barriers as well as physical barriers. This is just a tool we use to help ourselves transfer over into our lives. I know life gets tough with work, bills, family, it’s easy to get distracted and lose focus. Remember, your life and health is just as important to keep track of as well as your family’s so it's important to make time for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that. Also not to mention, having a stronger mind can help with physical plateaus your having in the gym because we don’t start to psych ourselves out by telling us we can’t do it or seeing a lot of weight on the bar can be a little intimidating and we don’t want anything to do with them. Just like anything that tries to stop you, you go tot to go up to that bar and push, pull, or squat it with all you got. Even if you don’t succeed, it wouldn't be because of a lack of will or fear. There’s a sense of pride with that. 


What else can I Do? 


Some ways that can help strengthen the mind I have done personally myself and recommend is:

Yes, easier said than done. However, even by just doing one of those things a week and increasing it little by little from then on, can be a great way to start. It’s a life transition. Little micro goals, can help lead to a bigger macro goal. Whatever works for you to get motivated or inspired to start is just as great. It's all about consistently strengthening our minds and souls everyday as well as our bodies. Now go and attack that bar!
